Mount Kilimanjaro · Rongai Gate · Uhuru Peak
A quieter northern approach from near the Kenya border — six days with gradual gain via Simba, Second Cave, and Mawenzi Tarn toward a Kibo summit bid.
Rongai is beginner-friendlier and less crowded than southern routes. This plan climbs the north side, acclimatizes under Mawenzi, summits Uhuru Peak, and descends the southern Mweka route.
Dry seasons are preferred: roughly January to mid-March and June to October. Climbs run year-round with wetter weather in the rains.
